Private jet catering at King Khalid International Airport (OERK / RUH), Riyadh

Catering to your aircraft in Riyadh.

Riyadh's night departures run cool and late, and a cabin that boards after the evening prayer wants a different table than a noon wheels-up. We cook, pack and label for the galley you actually fly, for the crew who have to serve it.

Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

What Riyadh brings to your in-flight catering (RUH)

Riyadh sits in the middle of the Najd, and the table there is built on slow-cooked lamb, rice and dates. For a private jet menu, kabsa is the dish people ask for first: spiced rice with lamb or chicken, packed with the sauce and the nuts separate, because rice left in its own steam goes soft on a two-hour climb and descent. Jareesh, a cracked wheat stew, travels better than most, and holds heat well in a sealed container.

On an inflight menu from Riyadh, the sweet course is almost always dates: Sukkari from Qassim, Ajwa from Madinah, stuffed with almonds or served plain beside a flask of Najdi coffee flavoured with cardamom. Qatayef and basbousa survive in the drawer. Private jet food from here should be warm-spiced rather than hot, since cabin air dulls strong flavours.

Local specialities that need care: fresh samboosa, which must be crisp at serve and so is packed raw-frozen for the oven; mutabbaq, which goes leathery if reheated twice; and fresh laban, which wants its own cold box. Anything with tahini or sesame is flagged on the label, because sesame is everywhere in this cuisine.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at King Khalid International Airport (OERK)

Sukkari dates and a thermos of Najdi coffee are the first thing most Riyadh cabins ask for, and they set the tone for private jet catering at King Khalid International. From there the brief is yours: an inflight catering order that reaches the aircraft sealed and labelled, in-flight catering that reheats in the oven you have, and aviation catering that respects what your principals can and cannot eat. Business aviation catering for the evening banks, executive jet catering for the short regional hops, diplomatic flight catering for delegations, and cabin crew meals ordered alongside it all.

Business aviationOur core

VIP flight and private jet catering at King Khalid International Airport (OERK)

Business jet catering at Riyadh usually starts from a late brief: a corporate jet lands for a day of meetings, the principals want to leave after dinner, and the order changes twice before the slot. Corporate jet catering here leans on Arabic coffee service, dates, and mains that tolerate a long taxi in warm weather. VIP flight catering for a family party means a separate tray plan for men, women and children, each seat labelled. Charter flight catering for a one-way sector into the Kingdom should be ordered for the return as well, because the aircraft often leaves on its own timetable, not yours. Luxury inflight catering is a matter of temperature control and presentation that survives re-plating on a small galley. A private jet chef writes the bespoke menu around what your oven and drawers can actually hold, and we say so when a dish will not travel.

Government flight catering sealed for a state visit aircraft at Riyadh, RUH
State & royalDiscretion, protocol

Head of state and government inflight catering at King Khalid International Airport (RUH)

Government flight catering out of Riyadh is shaped by protocol first and food second. For head of state flight catering, the menu is cleared with the delegation's office before anything is cooked, and allergens, halal certification and seating hierarchy are written down against seat numbers. VIP aviation catering for ministers and royal parties means discreet, sealed, traceable boxes and a named contact on our side for the whole movement. State visit aircraft catering often involves several aircraft at once, with a press or staff aircraft behind the principal one; each tail gets its own list, its own labels and its own handover. No names are spoken at the ramp, only tail numbers and seat plans.

Special meals & dietary requirements: in-flight catering at King Khalid International Airport

Special meals in Riyadh are mostly a halal question, and it is the default: all meat is halal and the kitchens are set up for it. Kosher is available on advance request, sealed and certified, and travels in its own tray. Vegan and gluten free meals are ordered by name and seat. The hidden risk in the local cuisine is sesame and tahini, found in sauces, breads and dips where nobody expects them, and nuts in rice dishes and sweets. Allergen free means a separate board, separate utensils and a label with the seat number, never a promise on the lid. Kids meals are simple and mild.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Crew meals & pilot meals at King Khalid International Airport

Crew meals at OERK are a separate line on the order: you ask for them, we price and invoice them like the rest. Flight crew meals travel in boxes stamped CREW and stay apart from the guest trays, so nothing is opened by mistake at the aircraft door. When the operator's policy calls for it, we cook different meals for pilots, one dish for the captain and another for the first officer, and cockpit meals are built for one hand: no dripping sauce, nothing that needs a knife, a lid that opens without a fight. Pilot meals for a Riyadh night turnaround can be a hot box timed to your slot. Crew catering for the cabin side runs lighter and cold, and cabin crew meals are often a labelled salad box with fruit and a flask of Najdi coffee. Crew meal boxes are handed over at the aircraft with everything else.

DeliveryEvery FBO

Airport catering delivered to the FBO at King Khalid International Airport (OERK)

FBO catering at Riyadh means the order is delivered to the general aviation terminal and handed to your handling agent, who walks it to the aircraft. Catering delivery to the FBO is timed against your slot, not against ours. Ground handling catering is affected by airside access and security screening, so the tail number, slot and a contact on the aircraft are given with the order. Handling agent catering also means they call you when the vehicle is at the door; we stay available until the aircraft has the boxes on board.

Galley-door delivery and aviation catering at King Khalid International Airport (RUH)

Galley catering depends on the aircraft: a Challenger galley has a small oven and two drawers, while a Boeing Business Jet or Airbus ACJ has full ovens, trolleys and chillers. Airside catering delivery to a larger aircraft uses a high loader, and we plan the loading order so hot items go last. Aircraft provisioning for an official movement often means several pallets, labelled by cabin zone.

About the airportOERK / RUH

Aviation catering and business aviation at King Khalid International Airport (RUH)

King Khalid International is Riyadh's main airport and the hub for business aviation into the capital, with general aviation handled through a dedicated terminal. Airport catering for private aircraft here operates under tight security, and airside access is controlled. FBO services and ground handling services are provided by licensed agents, who are the point of contact for every delivery. Peak activity follows the forum and conference calendar, and the Saudi winter, when the weather is mild and traffic rises.

Business aviation

Riyadh is a business aviation hub with a strong flow of government, corporate and royal movements. Inflight catering for these flights runs from small sealed boxes to full multi-course menus. In-flight catering on the short regional hops is simple, while aviation catering for the long sectors to Europe is more elaborate. Business aviation catering peaks around the forums and the pilgrimage seasons, and executive jet catering is often ordered for the return leg before the aircraft has even landed. Diplomatic flight catering follows official visits, and cabin crew meals are ordered alongside every movement.

Customs & food import

Saudi customs controls what comes into the Kingdom, and pork and alcohol are prohibited. Food loaded locally is exempt from import checks, which is one reason to order catering at OERK rather than carry it in. Uplifted food for the return leg is subject to the destination's rules, which differ by country, so tell us where you are going and we label accordingly.

★★★★★CHARTER
“It was the packing plan I cared about at OERK, with 6 servings of a seafood starter and warm vegetable sides and a tight boarding window to consider. My main takeaway from this business jet catering order was the practical approach to crew briefing. After a final adjustment to the sauces, The Galley Girls gave us one revised order summary to work from. The note about the breakfast portions was easy to spot, and we could brief the rest of the team quickly.”

“Timing and organisation mattered at RUH, where our order of avocado toast components and breakfast fruit for 12 people involved a tight boarding window. I asked The Galley Girls to review the salads quantities against the passenger brief, and the proposed portions made sense. We also checked the sandwiches before approval, which helped avoid a second round of questions later in the preparation. This experience of business aviation catering gave us a useful reference for managing cabin service sequence on another departure.”

★★★★★ROYAL FLIGHT
“One detail shaped our order at King Khalid International Airport: a family lunch request, alongside a request for herb chicken with a quinoa salad for 4 passengers. Our handling contact received the order details from The Galley Girls, including how the snack boxes had been grouped. The fruit plates went straight to the right colleague instead of circulating between several people during the turnaround. Our brief for jet catering was met with a sensible plan for galley preparation.”

Riyadh in five questionsAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a Riyadh departure?+

Start with the galley: a light jet with one drawer and a small oven takes a modest order, while a long-range cabin with full ovens and chillers can take a seated banquet, and the cost scales with that. Dates and a flask of Najdi coffee for a light cabin cost little; a full kabsa service for ten, with lamb and the sauce packed apart, costs more. Tell us the tail and the headcount and we quote the menu against that galley.

What lead time works when the aircraft is on a tight turn at OERK?+

What decides the lead time is your slot and how long the aircraft stays on the ground. We work to ten hours before departure where possible, and a late request is still handled: on a tight turn the order is staged at the FBO before you land, so it is waiting on the apron. A night departure after the evening prayer usually means settling the hot items the previous afternoon.

What do customs require for a government or delegation flight out of Riyadh?+

For a delegation, customs are normally pre-cleared through the official channels, and food loaded at Riyadh is sourced locally, so it does not go through import checks. The real constraint is the next country: your onward or return destination may restrict meat, dairy or fresh produce, and pork and alcohol are barred from the Kingdom altogether. Give us the route and each box is labelled to suit it.

Can you bring food aboard a repositioning flight with an empty cabin into Riyadh?+

You can carry your own, but Saudi customs may open it and refuse items such as pork products or anything unlabelled. For a short empty-cabin leg it is simpler to order crew meal boxes here: they are sealed, labelled CREW and handed to the aircraft ready to eat, with no inspection surprises at the FBO.

Is catering part of a charter if I order it from Riyadh for the way back?+

No. The charter price covers the aircraft and its crew; food is ordered and invoiced separately, like any catering order. For a return leg, place the order from Riyadh together with the outbound request, so the boxes are loaded while the aircraft is still on the ground here and are waiting on the other side.
