Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

The Yonaguni table, packed for private jet catering

Okinawa Prefecture eats differently from the Japanese mainland, and Yonaguni is its outer edge. The private jet menu here is built around what the surrounding water and the island's farms give: kajiki (blue marlin), which the island is known for, goes onto a private jet menu as sashimi on ice or as a grilled steak with sauce in its own pot. Kokuto, the dark Okinawan brown sugar, and Yonaguni's own hanazake spirit are local specialities that appear in desserts and sauces, never in anything a pilot might drink.

The inflight menu for Yonaguni draws on Okinawan cooking: goya champuru, mozuku seaweed in vinegar, umibudo sea grapes, and rafute, the slow-braised pork belly. Each is private jet food that travels well if packed right: umibudo stays chilled and apart, rafute is portioned for the oven, mozuku is a cold side. These local specialities sit in {Region} terms alongside simple onigiri and fruit for the cabin, and we adapt each plate to how your galley is equipped.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Yonaguni Airport (ROYN)

Yonaguni sits at 70 ft on a windy rock closer to Taiwan than to Naha, and few operators ever file it. Private jet catering for ROYN is therefore a planned brief, not a walk-in: the island has little retail, so aviation catering is built from outside supply and local fish. Business aviation catering, executive jet catering and cabin crew meals all follow the same plane-side handover to your handling agent. Diplomatic flight catering is covered by the same brief.

VIP flight and private jet catering at Yonaguni Airport (ROYN)

A corporate party landing at Yonaguni Airport tends to ask for something local. We supply business jet catering built on kajiki and island produce, VIP flight catering plated for a small galley, and corporate jet catering for the return leg. A private jet chef writes a bespoke menu, charter flight catering is invoiced as its own order, and luxury inflight catering stays honest to the island.

Inflight catering for government and royal flights at Yonaguni Airport

Government flight catering at Yonaguni has to be quiet and precise. Head of state flight catering and state visit aircraft catering go through protocol before anything is cooked, with a named team and sealed packing. VIP aviation catering for officials crossing the East China Sea follows the same discipline: traceability, no names on labels, handover through your handling agent.

Halal, kosher and kids meals: inflight catering at Yonaguni Airport (OGN)

On Yonaguni the dietary risk hides in the base ingredients: dashi, bonito and soy sit in almost every Okinawan sauce, and shellfish travel with the sea grapes. Kosher, halal, vegan and gluten free requests are therefore written as a procedure for the kitchen, with separate boards and sealed boxes, and allergen free and special meals are marked by seat number. Kids meals are simpler: plain rice, grilled fish, fruit, nothing in broth.

Crew meals & pilot meals at Yonaguni Airport

With few shops on the island, crew catering needs planning: crew meals, flight crew meals and pilot meals are all ordered on request and billed as usual. We pack crew meal boxes that stay safe in a drawer, cockpit meals that tolerate a bumpy sector, and different meals for pilots when the operator's policy requires it. Cabin crew meals are listed apart.

Ground handling and FBO catering at Yonaguni Airport

The terminal at Yonaguni is small, so FBO catering and catering delivery to the FBO are coordinated with your handling agent in advance. Ground handling catering is simple when the general aviation terminal has a clear gate, and handling agent catering ends at the foot of the aircraft stairs.

High loader and aircraft provisioning: aviation catering at Yonaguni Airport

Yonaguni receives small aircraft: turboprops, light and midsize jets, and the occasional larger business jet. Galley catering is sized to that galley, and airside catering delivery is handed to the aircraft by your handling agent through the apron gate. High loader work is rare here, so aircraft provisioning is planned around hand-carried boxes and a trolley, and we confirm door height and galley layout with the operator before the order is packed.

About the airportROYN / OGN

About Yonaguni Airport (OGN): airport catering for business aviation

Airport catering at Yonaguni is shaped by distance from the main island. General aviation here is occasional and mostly turboprop and light jet, with a few business jets arriving for diving seasons or diplomatic visits. FBO services and ground handling services are limited and agreed ahead.

Business aviation

As a business aviation hub Yonaguni is small, but inflight catering is routine for the few operators who use it, and in-flight catering for diverted aircraft follows the same plan. Aviation catering and business aviation catering are packed here, executive jet catering covers visiting owners, diplomatic flight catering is cleared in advance, and cabin crew meals are ordered on request.

Customs & food import

Japan requires food declarations on international arrivals, restricts imported meat, fruit and dairy, and inspects at the first airport of entry. For Yonaguni this means ordering locally and avoiding foreign food on board. Leftovers from an inbound international leg are disposed of, not carried on.

★★★★★CHARTER
“Food presentation mattered to our 7 guests, but an evening cabin service also had to be considered when organising a charcuterie board and fresh bread at OGN. For our team, the strongest part of their business jet catering was how they handled catering handover. The Galley Girls kept the starters separate from the finishing elements, which gave us control over the final presentation. The main courses stayed together in one group, so another crew member could follow the same plating sequence.”

“An order of grilled salmon with a lemon dressing for 9 people at Yonaguni Airport had to be organised around a tight boarding window. The Galley Girls understood why we wanted the snack boxes readily accessible instead of spread across several different boxes. We left the breakfast portions stored until needed, which kept the first service manageable and reduced unnecessary handling. For business aviation catering, that attention to cabin service sequence made the order noticeably easier to manage.”

★★★★★GOVERNMENT
“What impressed me at ROYN was how a request for a mezze selection with flatbreads was handled despite several individual meal preferences. I asked The Galley Girls to review the fruit plates quantities against the passenger brief, and the proposed portions made sense. It was useful to see the crew provisions listed separately when checking how much space the complete order would require. With jet catering, careful attention to portion planning matters as much to our crew as the menu itself.”

Asked before every ROYN slotAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a short repositioning flight into Yonaguni?+

A short hop with an empty cabin is the cheapest brief on the island: crew meal boxes, bottled water, fruit. A full passenger service with sashimi on ice and a hot rafute plate sits well above that. Cost is built from the menu you select for ROYN, billed like any other order.

What is the lead time for private jet catering at Yonaguni?+

Yonaguni has few moving parts, which helps: one terminal, a short list of ramp spots, and a handling agent who decides when a van may enter the apron. We coordinate that access first. Last-minute requests are handled, and the lead time conversation starts with permission rather than cooking.

Are there customs rules for inflight catering into Yonaguni?+

International arrivals into Okinawa Prefecture must declare food, and unopened imported meals may still be refused. That is why an evening or dawn departure from ROYN works best with food bought and packed here.

Can you bring food on board at Yonaguni, for example for a return leg ordered from here?+

You can, but customs rules limit what foreign food enters Japan, and the island has little to replace anything left behind. For a return leg ordered from here, we pack the outbound-to-return set in one go and label it by seat number, so nothing depends on shopping at the destination.

Is catering part of a charter into Yonaguni?+

Catering is separate from a private jet charter, ordered and invoiced as its own line. On Yonaguni the sea and the typhoon calendar decide when aircraft can come and go, which is why we coordinate closely with your handling agent.
