Private jet catering at Ganja International Airport (UBBG / GNJ), Ganja

Catering to your aircraft in Ganja.

Ganja sits at 1,083 ft in the foothills of the Lesser Caucasus, and the aircraft that land here tend to be charters carrying guests to the Goygol lakes, the old city or a regional business visit. We cook and pack for the galley you actually have, and hand it over plane-side with the crew's own boxes labelled apart.

Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

Private jet catering with local specialities from Ganja

Ganja's table is a Caucasus table: lamb and rice, herbs by the handful, fruit from the Goygol foothills and sweets that come with tea rather than after dinner. For a private jet menu out of UBBG, the local specialities worth carrying are the ones that survive the drawer.

Plov is the centrepiece: saffron rice cooked separately from its toppings, which we pack apart so the grains stay dry and the crew re-plates in the galley. Dolma, in vine leaf or cabbage, holds well and reheats in the aircraft oven; sauce of yoghurt and garlic travels in its own pot. Pakhlava, the Ganja-style layered pastry with walnut and hazelnut, is cut per seat and rides cold.

Inflight menu choices for the region also include Goygol apples, local honey, walnuts and dried fruit, which make private jet food that needs no oven at all. Ganja is in the Ganja region of Azerbaijan, and we keep the local specialities honest: seasonal, nothing flown in to pretend otherwise.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Ganja International Airport (UBBG)

Few runways in this part of Azerbaijan see as much business aviation as UBBG, and the demand that reaches us is mostly about regional hospitality, from official delegations to leisure charters. Our private jet catering starts from the aircraft type, the headcount and what Ganja produces: Goygol apples, walnuts, honey, jams and fresh herbs. Aviation catering, business aviation catering and executive jet catering all follow the same rule here: nothing leaves the kitchen that your galley cannot finish. Diplomatic flight catering is cleared through protocol before anything is cooked.

Private jet catering for business flights from Ganja (UBBG)

A Ganja brief for corporate jet catering rarely runs long: four to eight guests heading for a meeting, the Goygol lakes or a regional site visit. Business jet catering at UBBG is built by a private jet chef around a bespoke menu, using what the Ganja region grows, and packed to the seat so the galley only has to warm and re-plate. The same method serves VIP flight catering, charter flight catering and luxury inflight catering for guests who expect Goygol apples, walnuts and local honey on the tray. For an inflight catering or in-flight catering order out of Ganja, tell us the aircraft type and we match the dishes to its oven.

Government flight and VIP aviation catering at Ganja International Airport

When a delegation lands at UBBG, the menu is agreed with the protocol office, not the kitchen. State visit aircraft catering and government flight catering follow the programme, and head of state flight catering gets a named lead. VIP aviation catering is packed with sealed items and written allergen cards.

Special meals

Kosher, halal, vegan and gluten free in-flight catering at Ganja International Airport (GNJ)

At Ganja, the dietary question is mostly bread: tandir bread and lavash are everywhere, so a gluten-free guest needs rice, potato and grilled protein instead, packed in a separate box. Kosher, halal, vegan, allergen free and kids meals are all built on the same rule: separate board, separate box, the restriction written on the lid. Special meals are agreed with the headcount, not at the apron.

Crew meal boxes and crew meals at Ganja International Airport

Crew meals at Ganja are ordered like any other line of the catering, on request and invoiced with it. Flight crew meals are packed in their own boxes, marked CREW so nobody opens a passenger tray by mistake. Pilot meals and cockpit meals are built to be eaten from one hand, and different meals for pilots are available when the operator's policy asks for it. Crew catering for UBBG usually means a plov box or a chicken and rice dish; crew meal boxes can be cold if your galley has no spare oven time.

Airport catering at the FBO or general aviation terminal, Ganja International Airport

FBO catering at Ganja means catering delivery to the FBO or the general aviation terminal, coordinated with your handling agent. Ground handling catering and handling agent catering are the same task seen from two sides: who opens which door, and which slot we have been given. We confirm the handover with the handler before the aircraft arrives.

Aircraft provisioning for large cabins: airport catering at Ganja International Airport

Ganja handles light jets, midsize and large cabin business aircraft, and the occasional wide-body charter. Galley catering starts with the aircraft type and the galley layout: a high loader is only needed for larger doors, and the handling agent tells us on the day. Airside catering delivery follows the ground handler's access rules; aircraft provisioning is done at the stand, not through the terminal.

About the airportUBBG / GNJ

About Ganja International Airport (UBBG): aviation catering and general aviation

Ganja International is the main airport for Azerbaijan's second city, and airport catering here follows the pace of regional business aviation and tourism. The terminal handles general aviation, and FBO services and ground handling services are arranged through the handler on the day.

Business aviation

Ganja is a regional business aviation hub rather than a major one, and inflight catering and in-flight catering are ordered in small, precise orders. Aviation catering and business aviation catering here lean on the cabin size, not the volume; executive jet catering is typically a cold board plus one hot dish. Diplomatic flight catering is cleared through protocol, and cabin crew meals are ordered on request.

Customs & food import

Azerbaijan applies customs rules to food coming into the country, and fresh meat, dairy and produce are the items most often held. For Ganja, catering is sourced locally, so the food on board is cleared by origin and the paperwork stays short.

★★★★★CREW MEALS
“Our priority at UBBG was a mezze selection with flatbreads for 6 passengers, with several individual meal preferences shaping the service plan. I want an aviation catering company to understand written menu details, and this order gave us a useful starting point. Our handling contact received the order details from The Galley Girls, including how the snack boxes had been grouped. The cabin team could match the sauces to the request before moving on to the remaining departure tasks.”

★★★★★CHARTER
“As the person coordinating vegetable tartlets and a dessert selection for 5 passengers at GNJ, I needed an arrangement that considered a revised passenger count. I asked The Galley Girls for the snack boxes in shallow trays, with garnishes supplied separately for plating on board. The starters stayed together in one group, so another crew member could follow the same plating sequence. When comparing aviation catering companies, I would look closely at crew briefing after this experience.”

★★★★★LARGE CABIN
“Several practical details needed attention at Ganja International Airport, with yoghurt pots and fresh berries requested for 12 guests and limited fridge space to accommodate. I wanted clear identification on the fruit plates; The Galley Girls made the packing arrangement easy to compare with the order. I found the breakfast portions without searching through every box, a small detail that mattered during the final cabin checks. The packing arrangement stood out more than any sales pitch about flight catering.”

Questions crews ask about GanjaAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost out of Ganja?+

The honest answer is that a short Ganja brief is cheaper than a long one, and the galley decides the length: one small oven means fewer hot items, a full galley allows more.

What is the lead time for Ganja catering?+

Ganja orders move with the passenger list. If the number goes up late, we add cold platters and portioned sweets; if it goes down, the hot items are trimmed first.

What do customs require for catering into Azerbaijan?+

Customs rules in Azerbaijan limit certain imported foods, and the aircraft type decides how much is on board. Local sourcing for Ganja keeps the question short.

Can you bring food on board in Ganja?+

You can carry your own food, but at a regional airport like UBBG it has to clear customs on the way in and on the way out. A locally prepared tray is usually easier.

Is catering part of a charter into Ganja?+

Not usually: the charter price does not include catering. The aircraft type and its galley decide what we pack for Ganja, and we invoice it separately.
