At FZMA, crew catering is a request, not a default, and it is billed as such. Crew meals and flight crew meals come in sealed boxes, pilot meals and cockpit meals are packed apart, and crew meal boxes carry only seat numbers. We can send different meals for pilots, and cabin crew meals ride along if you want them.
Handover at Bukavu Kavumu takes place at the FBO or with your handling agent. FBO catering is brought to the apron and checked against the order. Catering delivery to the FBO, ground handling catering and handling agent catering all run through one contact, and the general aviation terminal is where we meet the crew.
What goes on the apron at Bukavu Kavumu depends first on the tail you fly in. A light jet takes catering through the cabin door; a larger aircraft may need a high loader, which you confirm with your handling agent. The customs side drives the price here. Items sourced in Sud-Kivu avoid import clearance; anything brought in must satisfy the food-import rules of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Each dish is priced on its own, and how much private jet catering costs for your trip comes down to that mix.
Lead time at FZMA depends mostly on what you want. Local fish and fruit are easy; imported items need more planning because of customs. For a return leg, tell us early, but changes are accepted.
On a repositioning leg, cargo and galley stock are both looked at. Keep it light: crew meals and a few snacks, labelled, declared through your handling agent. Congolese import rules on food apply even when no passenger is aboard.
A delegation can carry food, but customs may inspect it, and it often complicates the cabin. Our alternative is a menu agreed in advance with your protocol officer, packed and sealed for the galley, discreet and traceable.
