Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

What Gbadolite brings to your in-flight catering (BDT)

Nord-Ubangi Province sits in the equatorial forest belt, and the Gbadolite table follows the Ubangi river. For a private jet menu at BDT we lean on river fish, cassava and plantain, because that is what the region really eats. Our inflight menu keeps those local specialities recognisable but galley-friendly.

The private jet food we pack for Gbadolite starts with capitaine or tilapia from the Ubangi, grilled and chilled, with pili-pili on the side. Chikwangue, the steamed cassava bread, travels well and is sliced for service. Private jet platters are built on fruit from the province: pineapple, papaya, banana. Gourmet inflight meals take the same flavours and finish them in the aircraft oven. Private jet snacks are roasted peanuts and plantain chips.

Local specialities that survive a galley are limited by humidity, so hot dishes ship sealed and sauces travel apart. Anything with fresh herbs is packed dry. We tell you what is seasonal in Nord-Ubangi before the order is locked.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Gbadolite Airport (FZFD)

Gbadolite sits at 1,509 ft on the Ubangi plateau, with a long runway built for far bigger aircraft than the jets that call today. Private jet catering here is planned around a short ramp, a heavy tropical climate and a galley that arrives with nothing local on board. We cook and pack for that galley and hand it to your FBO or handling agent. Inflight catering, in-flight catering and aviation catering all follow the same rule at BDT: food that survives the apron and the tray table. Business aviation catering and executive jet catering orders go through the same desk, and diplomatic flight catering gets its own protocol check. For cabin crew meals, add them to the same order as the passenger menu.

Business aviation catering at Gbadolite Airport (BDT)

Corporate jet catering at FZFD starts with the type of aircraft and what the galley can finish. Business jet catering for a Nord-Ubangi trip is simple: cold courses plus one oven dish. A private jet chef writes the bespoke menu, and VIP flight catering and luxury inflight catering orders are labelled by seat. Charter flight catering gets the same treatment.

State & royalDiscretion, protocol

Inflight catering for government and royal flights at Gbadolite Airport

Government flight catering at Gbadolite is handled with protocol first: the delegation list, the seating and the restrictions are agreed before anything is cooked. Head of state flight catering and VIP aviation catering are packed under traceable labels by a named team, with discretion at the aircraft. State visit aircraft catering follows the same sealed procedure.

Halal, kosher and kids meals: inflight catering at Gbadolite Airport (BDT)

Special meals at Gbadolite are handled as a procedure, not a label. Local dishes hide allergens in obvious places: groundnut in sauces, shared frying oil for fish and plantain, palm oil blends. Kosher and halal meals are sealed and packed separately, vegan and gluten free plates avoid cassava flour mixes unless you confirm them, allergen free trays get their own board, and kids meals are built mild. Tell us the seat and the restriction.

Crew meals & pilot meals at Gbadolite Airport

Crew meals for the BDT ramp are added to the trip as a request and billed on the same invoice as the passenger menu. Flight crew meals and crew catering are packed for the turnaround on the BDT ramp, where there is nowhere nearby to eat. Pilot meals and cockpit meals are boxed to be eaten one-handed. Crew meal boxes carry a CREW label, and different meals for pilots can be packed when your policy calls for it.

Airport catering at the FBO or general aviation terminal, Gbadolite Airport

FBO catering at Gbadolite means catering delivery to the FBO, with your handling agent opening the door to the apron. The general aviation terminal is small, so ground handling catering is coordinated with your handling agent for the slot. Handling agent catering is passed plane-side.

High loaderLarge cabins, bizliners

Large cabin jet catering with a high loader at Gbadolite Airport (BDT)

FZFD has a very long runway but a modest apron, and the aircraft type decides how we load. Galley catering for a light or midsize jet goes aboard by hand through the door; for a larger airliner-derived VIP aircraft, airside catering delivery may need a high loader arranged through your handling agent. Aircraft provisioning is planned from the galley layout and the door height, confirmed before the slot.

About the airportFZFD / BDT

About Gbadolite Airport (BDT): airport catering for business aviation

Gbadolite Airport is a former presidential airfield in Nord-Ubangi Province, with a runway far beyond what current traffic needs. Airport catering here is a matter of bringing everything in sealed. It is a quiet field with little general aviation traffic.

Business aviation

Gbadolite sees few business jets, so aviation catering needs planning. Inflight catering and in-flight catering are packed to hold in the heat; business aviation catering and executive jet catering are tailored to the galley; diplomatic flight catering is cleared by protocol; cabin crew meals are ordered with the trip. It is a remote business aviation hub with FBO services and ground handling services kept simple.

Customs & food import

Food imports into the Democratic Republic of the Congo are controlled, especially meat, dairy and fresh produce. Our trays are sealed and itemised so your handling agent can clear them. Ask your agent which declaration they need before the slot.

★★★★★CHARTER
“My order at BDT covered grilled salmon with a lemon dressing for 7 guests, with a practical service plan needed because of a tight boarding window. After a final adjustment to the desserts, The Galley Girls gave us one revised order summary to work from. The side dishes remained as originally requested, which was reassuring when we checked the latest version with operations. For our team, the strongest part of their private jet food was how they handled crew briefing.”

★★★★★BUSINESS JET
“Keeping the galley organised at Gbadolite Airport meant planning mini sandwiches and individual desserts for 12 guests with different crew meal preferences in mind. Instead of asking us to improvise, The Galley Girls explained how the canapés could be arranged during service. We could finish the snack boxes as each guest was ready, rather than laying everything out at once. I would discuss private jet meals with them again, especially when storage requirements needs careful coordination.”

★★★★★LARGE CABIN
“Timing and organisation mattered at FZFD, where our order of a seafood starter and warm vegetable sides for 5 people involved a changing departure schedule. I wanted clear identification on the canapés; The Galley Girls made the packing arrangement easy to compare with the order. The packing arrangement stood out more than any sales pitch about private jet menu. The crew provisions were also listed clearly, which made it easier to pass instructions between crew members during preparation.”

The Gbadolite questionsAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a late departure from Gbadolite?+

A late slot at BDT changes what we cook, so the cost follows what you pick: a cold tropical fruit plate with cassava slices stays on the lighter side, grilled capitaine with an oven dish costs more. Send the tail and the ground time and we price from there, billed like any other order.

What lead time does private jet catering need at FZFD for a small galley?+

The galley sets the pace more than a calendar does. A light jet with one oven gets a menu of cold courses and a single hot dish, which keeps the lead time simple at Gbadolite. River fish depends on the season in Nord-Ubangi, and last-minute orders are handled.

Are there customs rules for catering on a night or early morning departure from Gbadolite?+

Yes: Congolese rules on meat, dairy and fresh produce apply whatever the hour, and at a quiet field like BDT an early slot leaves few people around to untangle a question. Sealed, itemised trays travel best; your handling agent tells you which declaration to file.

Can you bring food on board for a long leg with two services?+

You can carry your own, but animal products and fresh produce may be stopped at customs on either side of a leg out of BDT. For two services we pack course one and course two in separate sealed boxes, marked by seat, so the second round comes out of the drawer untouched.

Is catering part of a charter into Gbadolite?+

No. A private jet charter into Gbadolite covers the aircraft and crew, and the meals are ordered and invoiced on their own. Halal, kosher, allergen or child meals go on that same order, packed apart and labelled with the seat number.
