Private jet catering at Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas (SGAY / AYO), Ayolas

Catering to your aircraft in Ayolas.

SGAY is a quiet apron on the Paraná. The orders that come through are light jets and turboprops with a tight ground time, so we pack sealed trays by seat and leave the cooking to us.

Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

Inflight catering with the flavours of Ayolas (AYO)

Ayolas is a small field on the Paraná, and the local specialities are a river menu. Surubí is the one we plan around: firm, mild, good after the oven. Dorado is the alternative when the catch is right. For the private jet menu we add chipa guasu, a corn and cheese bake, and a mandioca side that holds its shape when it is re-plated.

What goes on an inflight menu from Misiones Department is shaped by the river and by the galley. Private jet food needs to survive being moved from kitchen to apron to drawer. Private jet platters of cold cuts, Paraguayan cheese and fruit are the safe bet. Gourmet inflight meals, like a grilled dorado fillet with sauce apart, are ordered for the oven. Private jet snacks round it out: chipa and mbejú, boxed.

The local table at SGAY borrows from Paraguayan home cooking. Sopa paraguaya, more bread than soup, is a dense cornmeal bake we cut into portions for the tray. Beef asado comes sliced and chilled, or hot with chimichurri apart. Private jet platters, gourmet inflight meals and private jet snacks are all built from these local specialities, so the Ayolas menu never reads like a menu from somewhere else.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas (SGAY)

Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas sits at 223 ft above the Paraná in Misiones Department, and its small apron sets the pace for everything we pack. Private jet catering at SGAY is built for short turnarounds: sealed trays, one oven worth of hot dishes, cold plates that stay in the drawer. We write the same galley-ready food for inflight catering, in-flight catering and aviation catering orders alike. For business aviation catering and executive jet catering we start from your tail and the seat plan; diplomatic flight catering goes through protocol first; cabin crew meals ride on the same order.

Business aviationOur core

Business aviation catering at Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas (AYO)

Business jet catering at Ayolas is usually a short brief: a few passengers, a river view, a leg onward within the region. Corporate jet catering here leans on cold platters and one hot main. VIP flight catering and charter flight catering follow the same galley rules. A private jet chef at our kitchen can write a bespoke menu around surubí, dorado or beef asado, and luxury inflight catering at AYO means the plate looks like the ones you serve everywhere else.

State & royalDiscretion, protocol

Government flight catering and aviation catering at Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas (SGAY)

When an official aircraft lands at SGAY, the menu is cleared by the protocol office, not by the kitchen. Government flight catering and head of state flight catering use sealed, seat-numbered trays. VIP aviation catering and state visit aircraft catering come with a named contact and a short file, nothing more.

Kosher, halal, vegan, gluten free and allergen free meals are procedures, not promises. Special meals at Ayolas are cooked on a separate board and boxed apart, with kids meals on request. Mandioca and corn are naturally gluten free, and we watch where wheat hides in the local breads.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Crew meals and cockpit meals in Ayolas (SGAY)

At AYO, the crew is the part of the order that is easiest to forget. Crew meals are a line on the order, on request and invoiced. Flight crew meals and pilot meals travel apart from the passenger trays; cockpit meals are boxed for a short break. Crew catering can be a hot plate or a cold box, and crew meal boxes carry different meals for pilots when the operator's policy asks.

About the airportSGAY / AYO

About Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas: business aviation and airport catering

Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas serves a river town in Misiones Department, and its business aviation traffic follows the dam and the energy corridor. Airport catering here means small orders and a short list of people with apron access. General aviation dominates the field, so FBO services and ground handling services are run by the same few hands that open the gate for us.

Business aviation

Ayolas is a business aviation hub in miniature: engineers, officials and dam visitors arrive on light jets, and the orders follow. Private jet catering, inflight catering and in-flight catering all start from the tail and the seat plan. Aviation catering and business aviation catering use the same method here as anywhere, with FBO services and ground handling services coordinated through your handling agent. Executive jet catering and diplomatic flight catering go through protocol first, and cabin crew meals and crew meals ride on the same order.

Customs & food import

Paraguay checks fresh animal products and produce on arrival, so on an international leg into Ayolas, leftover cheese and fruit may be taken at the door. Ordering the next leg locally means nothing crosses the border in the galley. Your handling agent, who runs the ground handling services on the apron, can confirm what is cleared, and FBO services staff will tell you where inspection happens.

★★★★★LIGHT JET
“Menu approval at AYO covered prawn salad and small fruit plates for 4 guests, leaving us to organise the service around a short ground stop. The desserts supplied by The Galley Girls were straightforward to check against the written menu before the cabin handover. For our team, the strongest part of their in-flight catering was how they handled meal organisation. I found the main courses without searching through every box, a small detail that mattered during the final cabin checks.”

★★★★★CREW MEALS
“Good preparation made the difference at Aeropuerto Nacional Juan de Ayolas, where 10 guests expected a light pasta dish with grilled vegetables despite several individual meal preferences. The order made vip inflight catering feel manageable because the final order confirmation had been considered beforehand. I gave The Galley Girls our storage brief and asked for the desserts to arrive in compact food boxes. I could hand the main courses to a colleague with a short explanation instead of unpacking the whole order.”

★★★★★BUSINESS JET
“Keeping the galley organised at SGAY meant planning grilled salmon with a lemon dressing for 10 guests with a tight boarding window in mind. This experience of private jet catering gave us a useful reference for managing packing arrangement on another departure. Instead of asking us to improvise, The Galley Girls explained how the crew provisions could be arranged during service. We could finish the snack boxes as each guest was ready, rather than laying everything out at once.”

What crews ask before AyolasAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a quick turn at Ayolas?+

For private jet catering at Ayolas, what shifts the cost most is when the aircraft leaves and how much time the crew has to finish plates. Cold gourmet inflight meals cost less to run than a plated hot course. We price per menu, not per tray.

What is the lead time for catering at Ayolas, given the handling agent and airside access?+

A small field like AYO has one door to the apron. Your handling agent opens it for us, and that is the real lead-time question. Last-minute orders are handled, and we are reachable 24/7.

What do customs say about food on a private jet arriving or leaving Ayolas?+

Crews often ask what happens to unopened fruit and cheese after an international leg into Ayolas. Customs may take it. Ordering the next leg's food locally avoids carrying anything across a border.

Can you bring food on board at Ayolas, or must it come through us?+

It is your aircraft and your call. But a small field means a short list of people with airside access, and your handling agent keeps it. We send ours through the same door, labelled by seat.

Is catering part of a charter into Ayolas, and who pays for it?+

Charter into Ayolas does not cover food. We take a separate order, send a separate invoice, and match the menu to your departure slot. If the turnaround is short, we plan cold dishes.
