Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

Regional dishes of Calama for jet catering at CJC

Antofagasta Region cooking starts with the sea and the desert, and a private jet menu built around Calama has to respect both. Local specialities travel well when they are chosen for the galley: pastel de choclo baked and re-plated, empanadas de pino from the oven, ceviche of Pacific fish kept chilled and dressed apart. The inflight menu changes with the season, and so does private jet food from the coast: sea bass, scallops, lemon, avocado, quinoa. At 7,543 feet nobody wants a heavy plate, so we lean on citrus, herbs and grilled protein, and we pack each local speciality for the galley you actually have.

A private jet menu for Calama draws on two Chiles: the Pacific coast and the high Atacama. From the coast come fish, shellfish and lemon; from the interior, quinoa, corn, goat cheese and andean herbs. Local specialities such as pastel de choclo, empanadas, sopaipillas and cazuela travel in the drawer or the oven depending on the dish, and the inflight menu is built plate by plate. Private jet food for the Antofagasta Region is fresh, simple and balanced for dry cabin air.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at El Loa Airport (SCCF)

El Loa Airport stands at 7,543 feet in the Atacama Desert, and the air up here dries a cabin and dulls the palate before the wheels are even chocked. Private jet catering at SCCF is written around that: lighter plates, more water, nothing that falls apart in a warm galley. Inflight catering and in-flight catering for business aviation catering flights, executive jet catering for mining charters, diplomatic flight catering for delegations, aviation catering and cabin crew meals for the people working the cabin.

Private jet catering in Calama for business and VIP flights (CJC)

Business jet catering at El Loa usually starts with a mining or corporate shuttle: six or eight guests, an early slot, a short turnaround. Corporate jet catering and VIP flight catering here lean on cold plates and a few hot items. Charter flight catering and luxury inflight catering can add a private jet chef for a bespoke menu built around the guest list, a diet or a request.

Private jet catering for government and royal flights at El Loa Airport (CJC)

Government flight catering through CJC runs on protocol: the menu is cleared before cooking, labels carry seat numbers only, and a named team handles the order. Head of state flight catering and VIP aviation catering follow the same discipline, and state visit aircraft catering adds traceability and discretion without changing how the food is delivered.

Special meals

Dietary requirements and aviation catering at El Loa Airport (SCCF)

At El Loa the dry cabin air and a long mining-route sector make special meals worth settling before departure, not at the aircraft door. Kosher, halal, vegan, gluten free and allergen free meals are cooked in separate sections, sealed and labelled by seat; kids meals are packed on request. Special meals for Calama are planned around what the local market holds in season, so a vegan or gluten free plate is built with quinoa, corn and Pacific produce rather than an imported substitute.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Crew meals for pilots and cabin crew at El Loa Airport (CJC)

At Calama the crew eats only if you ask for it: crew meals are added to the order on request and billed with everything else. Flight crew meals and pilot meals are packed single-portion and labelled CREW; cockpit meals are built to be eaten one-handed. Crew catering can be hot or cold, and crew meal boxes are easy to keep in the drawer for a long wait. Different meals for pilots are available when the operator's policy asks for it, and cabin crew meals follow the same rules.

FBO catering and handling agent delivery at El Loa Airport

At Calama the van goes where your handling agent directs it: the apron, the FBO, the general aviation terminal. FBO catering and catering delivery to the FBO are arranged in advance, ground handling catering is coordinated with the stand, and handling agent catering is confirmed by phone or email.

High loader delivery for jet catering at El Loa Airport (CJC)

Larger business aircraft calling at CJC need the galley catering loaded with a high loader, and the type decides whether the door is reachable from the ground. Our airside catering delivery is planned with your handling agent for the stand where you park, with aircraft provisioning matched to the galley on board: oven or no oven, drawer count, chilled space. On a quiet apron at 7,543 feet, the loading gets done unhurried.

About the airportSCCF / CJC

General aviation and airport catering at El Loa Airport (CJC)

El Loa Airport serves Calama and the mining belt of the Antofagasta Region, and sits at 7,543 feet in a very dry desert. Airport catering here is planned for altitude and for the customs rules of Chile. General aviation operates alongside regular traffic, and the FBO services and ground handling services at the terminal keep the arrangement for a visiting crew straightforward.

Business aviation

Calama is a working business aviation hub: mining shuttles, corporate flights and the odd delegation. Inflight catering and in-flight catering are adapted to altitude, aviation catering serves operators, business aviation catering handles corporate departments, executive jet catering covers private trips, diplomatic flight catering is discreet, and cabin crew meals are single-portion. Crew meals are ordered with the flight, and the FBO services and ground handling services on the field take the delivery to the aircraft.

Customs & food import

Chile restricts fresh meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables arriving by air, and an international flight into SCCF should expect declarations at customs. We cook locally so food loaded here is not subject to import checks; your handling agent, through the FBO services and ground handling services on the field, can confirm what you may bring in from the departure airport.

“Between cabin checks at El Loa Airport, I coordinated a mezze selection with flatbreads for 7 guests and explained our concerns about limited fridge space. With private jet catering services, careful attention to galley preparation matters as much to our crew as the menu itself. Our handling contact received the order details from The Galley Girls, including how the canapés had been grouped. Knowing where the snack boxes were packed meant the crew could begin the relevant checks as soon as the order arrived.”

★★★★☆LARGE CABIN
“The 12 passenger portions of a charcuterie board and fresh bread were the easy part; managing two separate meal services at SCCF took more planning. After a final adjustment to the sauces, The Galley Girls gave us one revised order summary to work from. The note about the desserts was easy to spot, and we could brief the rest of the team quickly. I want a private jet catering company to understand galley preparation, and this order gave us a useful starting point.”

★★★★★CHARTER
“Breakfast was already sorted; at CJC, the next request was a cheese board and savoury canapés for 8 guests, with a family lunch request to work around. I gave The Galley Girls our storage brief and asked for the canapés to arrive in stackable containers. The sandwiches were easy to locate, leaving the crew free to focus on the remaining cabin preparation. When comparing private jet catering companies, I would look closely at crew briefing after this experience.”

Ordering for SCCF, in shortAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a flight out of El Loa when the passenger count changes at the last minute?+

Cost follows the menu you choose, and a changed passenger count simply rescales it. A dozen empanadas cost differently to a grilled sea bass; adding two guests at the last minute adds two portions of whatever was ordered. We invoice private jet catering as we cook it, so the figure you see is for the plates that ride to the aircraft.

What is the lead time for private jet catering at El Loa if I am flying a delegation or government flight?+

For a government flight into Calama, the lead time depends on how much clearance the menu needs. Protocol decides what can be served, who handles it and who sees the labels, and that conversation is easier when started early. We take last-minute orders too, and a flight attendant will talk you through what is possible for your slot.

How do customs affect inflight catering at El Loa when a special-meal request (kosher, halal, allergen, child) is on the order?+

For an international flight into SCCF, customs may stop meat, cheese, fresh fruit or eggs brought in on board, and a special meal is not exempt. We avoid the issue by cooking the meal at Calama: kosher kept sealed, halal prepared separately, allergen free plated apart, kids portions marked. Ask your handling agent about any plate you plan to bring from the departure airport.

Can you bring food into Chile on a private jet if crew duty time and waiting on the ground are the issue?+

Short answer: do not count on it. Chile restricts fresh meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables entering by air, and a crew waiting out a long duty day at El Loa does not want to give up a lunch at the customs desk. The simpler way is crew meals cooked here, boxed and handed to the aircraft, so duty time is spent resting, not declaring food.

Is catering part of a charter flying out of Calama when the departure slot and the turnaround are tight?+

Whether the turnaround is long or short, a charter to or from El Loa does not bundle food. You order catering on its own, with its own invoice. For a tight slot, we recommend a cold menu with a few hot items that finish in the oven, so the crew can load, re-plate and close the door on time.
