Sumba's dry east coast runs on a short season of tourism and charter flights, and Umbu Mehang Kunda at Waingapu receives them on a small apron with a modest terminal. FBO catering at Umbu Mehang Kunda means catering delivery to the FBO or the general aviation terminal, coordinated with your handling agent. Ground handling catering is handed over at the aircraft, and handling agent catering covers the paperwork on the ramp.
A light business jet or turboprop at WATU rarely needs a high loader, but a larger aircraft changes the galley catering plan: door height, trolley access and the size of the galley decide how we pack. Airside catering delivery is coordinated with your handling agent, and aircraft provisioning follows the type, so a wide-body gets carts and a light jet gets a few cool boxes.

WATU is the main airfield on Sumba, in East Nusa Tenggara. Elevation is 33 feet, the terminal is modest, and general aviation shares the apron with scheduled services.

Lead time depends on the aircraft: a turboprop on a regional sector has little galley space, while a large cabin has trolleys and a full oven. At Waingapu we match the menu to the galley, and last-minute orders are handled with a reduced menu if needed.
Waingapu has a dry season from roughly May to October, when clear skies make departures reliable and tourism and charter traffic pick up. Customs for inflight catering follow Indonesian import rules: food arriving on the aircraft is declared, and uplifted catering comes from approved local sources. We source on the island or in-country, so the handover to your handling agent is clean.
You can bring your own food on board, but Indonesian customs may stop fresh produce, meat and dairy on arrival, so it is simpler to order the return leg from us. We build the meal for the next sector, cold or ready to oven, and hand it over at the aircraft.
A charter price does not include meals, and Waingapu is no exception: the order is its own line and its own invoice. For a night or early morning departure, we pack for a galley that is cold at that hour and mark what needs the oven.
