Three of us. All ex VIP cabin crew.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

The Luanda (Ícolo e Bengo) table, packed for private jet catering

Luanda Province eats from the Atlantic and from the palm-oil kitchen. Muamba de galinha, chicken stewed in palm oil with okra and garlic, is the national dish and a very good private jet menu item, though it needs funge or rice packed apart so it does not go soft. Calulu de peixe, dried and fresh fish with sweet potato leaves, makes a heavier inflight menu choice for a long sector.

Grilled fish from the Ilha do Cabo coast, lobster and prawns from the Luanda Province fishing boats, cassava, and sweet tropical fruit round out the private jet food. These local specialities travel best chilled, with sauces separate, and plated by you in the galley. Because FNBJ sits in Luanda Province, we write the menu around what is actually landed that week.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport (FNBJ)

Angola's oil and mining traffic makes Luanda a working business aviation airport, and the galley on a long leg out of FNBJ has to carry two services on board. Our private jet catering team prepares inflight catering for that, plus in-flight catering for the return, and handles aviation catering for business aviation catering requests, executive jet catering and diplomatic flight catering. Cabin crew meals travel in their own boxes, marked CREW.

Special meals & dietary requirements: in-flight catering at Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport

Halal is a common request on Angola flights, and kosher and vegan are handled with the same care: separate board, separate box, seat number on the lid. Gluten free and allergen free meals are packed apart from the guest trays, because palm oil, peanuts and shellfish turn up in Luanda kitchens. Special meals and kids meals go on the same order.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Flight crew meals on request at Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport

Crew meals at Luanda are ordered on request and invoiced with the rest of the trip. The rotation here can be a long return leg with a turnaround in humid heat, so flight crew meals are packed to survive that: pilot meals and cockpit meals that can be eaten one-handed, in crew meal boxes marked CREW. Crew catering can offer different meals for pilots on the same flight, as the operator's policy requires.

About the airportFNBJ / NBJ

About Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport (FNBJ): aviation catering and general aviation

Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International serves Luanda as the main gateway of Angola. Airport catering here supports general aviation and business aviation, with FBO services and ground handling services on site.

Business aviation

Luanda is a business aviation hub for Angola, and inflight catering and in-flight catering here follow the dry season and the rains. Aviation catering and business aviation catering for executive jet catering and diplomatic flight catering use one packing plan, and cabin crew meals travel in their own boxes.

Customs & food import

Angola controls the import of fresh produce and meat, so Luanda catering leans on local sourcing. Your handling agent handles customs, and we pack to their sequence.

★★★★★ROYAL FLIGHT
“Between cabin checks at NBJ, I coordinated vegetable tartlets and a dessert selection for 10 guests and explained our concerns about an evening cabin service. The Galley Girls talked through the quantities of starters with us before confirmation, rather than leaving us to guess the portions. There was enough information about the side dishes to brief the crew without making assumptions about what had been ordered. I appreciated the emphasis on portion planning throughout the private jet food arrangements.”

★★★★★LARGE CABIN
“With several individual meal preferences to consider at Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto International Airport, we needed a practical way to serve beef fillet with roasted potatoes to 8 passengers. The main courses came from The Galley Girls in individual containers, with a packing list that matched the contents. I could hand the sandwiches to a colleague with a short explanation instead of unpacking the whole order. The order made private jet meals feel manageable because the meal organisation had been considered beforehand.”

★★★★★BUSINESS JET
“Service planning came first at FNBJ, with 2 passengers choosing a charcuterie board and fresh bread and a changing departure schedule influencing our preparation. We changed the quantities of salads, and The Galley Girls reflected the request in the final packing list. The order made private jet menu feel manageable because the crew briefing had been considered beforehand. The canapés remained as originally requested, which was reassuring when we checked the latest version with operations.”

What crews ask before Luanda (Ícolo e Bengo)Asked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost at Luanda?+

Cost at FNBJ follows what you order, not a tariff. Lobster and prawns cost more in the dry season when demand rises; fruit platters and muamba cost less. When the weather window moves your departure, we adjust the order rather than the price per tray.

What lead time do you need at Luanda?+

A long leg changes what lead time matters: the second service has to survive hours in a drawer. Order early so we can pack it sealed. Last-minute orders are handled where the menu allows.

How do customs work for catering at Luanda?+

Angolan customs rules on food and meat apply to what leaves and enters the aircraft. Local sourcing helps with a short turnaround; imported items need paperwork through the handling agent.

Can you bring food to the aircraft at Luanda?+

You can bring your own food, but Angolan customs may question fresh items on arrival, so most operators prefer to order locally. A return leg ordered from here avoids carrying food in.

Is catering part of a charter into Luanda?+

Not part of the charter: ordered and billed apart. A late change in passengers means we repack, and the order total follows.
