Private jet catering at Jeongseok Airport (RKPD / JDG), Jeju Island

Catering to your aircraft in Jeju Island.

Jeongseok is a quiet field on the south of Jeju, where business jets arrive in the mild air of the island's winter and the heat of August. We cook for the galley of your type, with black pork, hairtail and hallabong from the island, and hand it over at the FBO.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

The local tableCooked so it travels

Inflight catering with the flavours of Jeju Island (JDG)

Jeju Island has its own larder, and it travels well in a galley. The private jet menu for Jeongseok leans on island produce: black pork from the island's native pigs, hairtail grilled and boxed with the skin crisp, abalone porridge, and hallabong and Jeju mandarins cut for the cabin. Our inflight menu keeps each item as it should arrive: the porridge in a sealed pot for the oven, the pork sliced to be re-plated, the citrus kept cold. Private jet food from Jeju is honest and simple, and local specialities from Jeju Teukbyeoljachi-do read well on a tray at altitude. Private jet platters of sashimi, cold noodles and island fruit suit a short hop to Seoul or a long leg to Japan. Gourmet inflight meals here do not need decoration: a good bowl of kalguksu or a plate of braised mackerel with radish does the job.

Jeju Teukbyeoljachi-do gives a private jet menu its character: citrus orchards, a cold sea, volcanic soil. At Jeongseok we build the inflight menu around black pork, hairtail, abalone and hallabong, packed for a galley with one oven. These local specialities are private jet food that holds: braised dishes go in sealed pots, raw fish stays chilled and sliced to order, fruit travels whole and peeled on request. Private jet platters with island greens, sesame and perilla leaf keep the Jeju flavour on board. Gourmet inflight meals here are measured and quiet, the way an Asian cabin often prefers them, and private jet snacks such as dried persimmon, citrus chocolate and rice crackers fill the gaps between meals.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Jeongseok Airport (RKPD)

Jeongseok sits on the south side of Jeju Island at 1,171 ft, and a southern wind off the sea sets the pace for every business jet arrival. Private jet catering here is built around that: Jeju produce, a galley you can actually work in, and a handover at the FBO. Inflight catering for corporate and executive flights, in-flight catering for charter legs, aviation catering for the crew, business aviation catering for the operator, executive jet catering for the owner's trip, diplomatic flight catering for official visits, and cabin crew meals boxed separately.

Corporate and VIP jet catering at Jeongseok Airport (JDG)

A typical business jet at Jeongseok is a corporate or executive flight from Seoul, Tokyo or Shanghai, with four to eight guests and a galley with one oven. Business jet catering here means a short, clean menu: black pork or hairtail hot, cold noodles and fruit to follow. Corporate jet catering and VIP flight catering both start with the passenger list. For charter flight catering into Jeju, we write each tray for the seat. Luxury inflight catering at Jeongseok is a private jet chef cooking a bespoke menu around Jeju produce, not a catalogue.

Inflight catering for government and royal flights at Jeongseok Airport

Jeju hosts international delegations, and Jeongseok sees government flights and state visit aircraft arrive on its apron. Government flight catering starts with protocol, not with the kitchen. Head of state flight catering is traceable and discreet, and VIP aviation catering for staff and security sits on separate trays. State visit aircraft catering is written from the guest list, then cooked on the island.

Special meals

Kosher, halal, vegan and gluten free in-flight catering at Jeongseok Airport (JDG)

Kosher, halal, vegan, gluten free and allergen free requests are handled as a procedure, not a label, and Jeongseok's cuisine is where the traps sit: soy sauce and doenjang carry wheat, many broths use anchovy or shellfish stock, and sesame is everywhere. Special meals for the passenger who cannot take them are prepared on a separate board and sealed. Kids meals are simpler, rice and mild chicken with the sauce apart. Give us the codes and the seat numbers and we write each tray around them.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Crew meal boxes and crew meals at Jeongseok Airport

A rice-and-fish box for the cockpit is a line you add when you place the Jeongseok order, and crew meals are billed with everything else. Flight crew meals for a Jeju turn are rice and grilled fish a pilot can eat with one hand. Pilot meals are different for captain and first officer, so one bad plate does not end a flight. Crew catering for the cabin is a lighter box, and cockpit meals travel sealed in the bag. Crew meal boxes carry the seat on the lid. On Jeju, different meals for pilots mean the captain's grilled hairtail and the first officer's braised pork travel in separate sealed bags. Cabin crew meals come separate again, so the guest trays stay untouched.

FBO catering at Jeongseok Airport (JDG): delivery to your aircraft

The general aviation terminal at Jeongseok is where most orders end: a quiet counter, a handling agent with the pass and a van at the apron. FBO catering is sealed and labelled, catering delivery to the FBO matches your slot, and ground handling catering is arranged with the agent beforehand. Handling agent catering means one contact for the pass and the position.

High loaderLarge cabins, bizliners

Large cabin jet catering with a high loader at Jeongseok Airport (JDG)

Jeongseok handles mostly mid-size and large business jets, and the aircraft type decides the loading. A Gulfstream or Global with a stairs-door galley takes trolleys and boxes by hand, while a larger VIP airliner on the apron may need a high loader for galley catering to reach the door sill. We ask for the type and the galley layout before anything is cooked, then coordinate airside catering delivery with the handling agent. Aircraft provisioning for a wide-body means full trolleys, sealed and labelled by position, not loose boxes.

About the airportRKPD / JDG

General aviation and airport catering at Jeongseok Airport (JDG)

Jeongseok is a small airport on Jeju Island, at 1,171 ft, in a green and volcanic landscape on the south coast. Airport catering here serves a modest flow of business jets and charter flights. General aviation uses the field alongside scheduled traffic, and the FBO services and ground handling services are compact and attentive. Jeongseok is not a major business aviation hub, but it is an easy one.

Business aviation

Business aviation into Jeju follows the seasons: tourism in spring and autumn, golf and summit visits in summer. Inflight catering for these flights favours island produce. In-flight catering keeps the tray light for short legs, and aviation catering suits crews rotating through Seoul. Business aviation catering for flight departments, executive jet catering for owners, diplomatic flight catering for official visits and cabin crew meals for the rotation all sit on one order.

Customs & food import

South Korean customs and quarantine restrict imported meat, dairy, fresh fruit and plant products, and inspectors can open what arrives on board. For a Jeongseok order, that means catering cooked on Jeju with local produce passes without friction. Imported cheese, cured meat and specialty ingredients need paperwork and time, so we plan around them.

★★★★★BUSINESS JET
“It was the packing plan I cared about at Jeongseok Airport, with 12 servings of mini sandwiches and individual desserts and different crew meal preferences to consider. The Galley Girls labelled the sandwiches in line with our brief, so the cabin team could identify the relevant portions quickly. I found the breakfast portions without searching through every box, a small detail that mattered during the final cabin checks. I appreciated the emphasis on storage requirements throughout the jet catering arrangements.”

★★★★★ROYAL FLIGHT
“A request for a cold lunch with cheese and fruit, 5 passengers, and an evening cabin service: that was our brief for the departure at RKPD. We described our serving sequence to The Galley Girls and asked for the breakfast portions to be packed accordingly. For our team, the strongest part of their VIP flight catering was how they handled cabin service sequence. Our colleague could take over the crew provisions without asking where every component had been placed during preparation.”

★★★★★CHARTER
“Clear quantities were essential at JDG: we had 6 passengers expecting herb chicken with a quinoa salad and were working around a changing departure schedule. My main takeaway from this charter flight catering order was the practical approach to packing arrangement. Our handling contact received the order details from The Galley Girls, including how the main courses had been grouped. The canapés went straight to the right colleague instead of circulating between several people during the turnaround.”

Ordering for RKPD, in shortAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost for a delegation or government flight into Jeju?+

A state visit or delegation into Jeju is priced per dish, not per head. Black pork with rice is one line, hallabong plates another, and a separate crew tray for the security team another again. How much does private jet catering cost depends on which of those you pick and how many seats there are. We write the quote after the passenger list and the aircraft type.

What is the lead time for private jet catering into Jeongseok, given South Korea's food import rules?+

Korea limits what animal and plant products can enter, so the lead time question here is really a sourcing question. We use Jeju produce and local proteins, which keeps the order simple. If a client wants an imported cheese or a specific wagyu cut, the customs paperwork sets the pace. Last-minute orders are still handled with a local menu.

What do you need from the handling agent for customs and airside access at Jeongseok?+

Customs and airside are handled together. Your handling agent books the vehicle and the apron position, and we prepare sealed, labelled boxes with a manifest. If inspection happens, the contents are clear. At Jeongseok that means black pork, hairtail and citrus, all locally sourced, no imported items to explain.

Can you bring food on board at Jeongseok for a passenger with a special meal request?+

A passenger with a kosher, halal or allergen request is better served by a meal made here than one carried in. Customs can ask about animal products from abroad, and the seal may break. We cook on the island, label by seat, keep the allergen tray apart and hand it over sealed. If the client still wants their own food, tell us.

Is catering part of a charter into Jeju, and does the aircraft's galley matter?+

Catering is a separate order from a private jet charter. For Jeju flights, we ask which type is on the apron, because a small galley changes the plan: cold items, sauces apart, fewer hot dishes. A larger cabin lets us send hairtail and braised pork ready for the oven. The food is invoiced on its own.
