Private jet catering at Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS / SIN), Singapore

Catering to your aircraft in Singapore.

Changi runs on a tight apron and a humid, thundery afternoon rhythm, and the jets that use the general aviation terminal leave on slots, not on whim. We cook and pack for the crew who have to serve at 41,000 feet with whatever the galley holds.

We know the galley, the diet card and the 5 a.m. re-plate — because we lived them. So we built the caterer we always wished we could call.

Private jet catering with local specialities from Singapore

South East Singapore is a hawker-food country, and a private jet menu from here can be local without being fragile. Laksa is the hard one: the coconut broth travels in a sealed pot, the noodles and prawns apart, so the crew assembles the bowl at altitude. Chilli crab goes as separated crab pieces and sauce, with fried mantou on the side, plus bibs and wipes for the cream shirt.

Private jet food built on local specialities does best when it keeps the dish and drops the fuss. Chicken rice is the safest crowd-pleaser on an inflight menu: poached chicken sliced thin, rice cooked in the stock, chilli and ginger in their own pots. Satay is grilled the same morning and reheated briefly, peanut sauce on the side. Kaya toast with soft eggs suits early departures, the toast packed flat so it does not steam.

Desserts are where the region helps most. Chendol with gula melaka needs a cold drawer; kueh and pandan cake do not. Mangosteen, rambutan and dragon fruit are cut and boxed by passenger, durian only on request and sealed twice. A Singapore inflight menu that reads like the city, packed for a galley with one oven and no counter space, is the aim.

The three founders, former VIP cabin crew, on a business jet airstair — private jet catering at Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS)

A thunderstorm cell over the Singapore Strait can hold a departure from Changi, and the food has to outlast the wait. Private jet catering for WSSS is planned around that: what stays crisp, what reheats, what is sealed for the seat. Inflight catering for the general aviation terminal is written by crew who know the galley. Phone or email, any hour.

Private jet catering in Singapore for business and VIP flights (SIN)

The typical brief at Changi is a corporate jet positioning through Asia on a tight schedule: a long-range cabin heading to Sydney, Tokyo or Dubai, six or eight guests, a crew that wants one thing it can eat standing up. Business jet catering for these legs leans on a bespoke menu that holds in a drawer for many hours: Hainanese chicken rice that is plated cold-safe, satay with the peanut sauce packed apart, a fruit board with mangosteen or rambutan when the season gives it. Corporate jet catering for a charter flight catering request is usually settled the evening before. A private jet chef writes the card around the cabin's oven, and VIP flight catering for a principal who flies often is kept to the dishes that person has already accepted. Luxury inflight catering here is mostly about restraint: clean flavours, little sauce on the plate, nothing that fights the cabin pressure.

Head of state and government inflight catering at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)

Singapore sees state and official movements through the Paya Lebar and Changi corridors, and government flight catering is handled with a short, named team and protocol cleared before anything is cooked. Head of state flight catering means a menu approved by the office, labels with no names, and a single hand-off at the aircraft. VIP aviation catering for a delegation keeps halal and allergen separation written into the order, since many delegations travelling through Southeast Asia need both. State visit aircraft catering is quiet work: nothing on the apron that was not agreed, nothing discussed outside the handling agent and the crew.

Special meals

Allergen free special meals and aviation catering at Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS)

Special meals at Changi start from the kitchen's own habits: peanuts, shellfish, fish sauce and shrimp paste are in a surprising amount of local food, so allergen free inflight meals are cooked on a separate board and not just labelled. Halal is easy to arrange here because the demand is real, and kosher meals come sealed and are heated in their own packaging. Vegan and gluten free options are built from rice, tofu, vegetables and coconut, and kids meals are mild versions of the same dishes: plain noodles, chicken rice without chilli, cut fruit. Each box is closed, numbered by seat, and kept apart from the other trays until it reaches the passenger.

Crew & pilot mealsOn request

Crew meals on request for flights from Singapore (SIN)

Crew meals at Changi are ordered on request and invoiced with the rest of the trip. Flight crew meals are usually a heavier choice before a long Asia-Pacific sector: rice with a protein, something green, a bottle of water, all in a box marked CREW. Pilot meals can differ for each pilot, with different meals for pilots built around separate proteins so the captain and first officer never share a dish. Cockpit meals are packed for eating with one hand: a wrap, a rice box with a fork, no sauce that drips. Crew catering for a short turn on the apron is kept cold and easy; for an overnight, crew meal boxes can include a hot dish. Cabin crew meals are the same box with a separate sleeve, so the people serving can eat once the guests are settled.

DeliveryEvery FBO

Airport catering delivered to the FBO at Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS)

FBO catering at Changi is delivered to the general aviation terminal or to your handling agent, whichever the trip is routed through. Catering delivery to the FBO is timed to the slot: we arrive early enough to clear airside access, which at Changi means a pass and a vehicle that is cleared in advance. Ground handling catering is coordinated with the handling agent, and handling agent catering instructions are simple: name the tail, give the slot, state who receives the boxes. Nothing is left on the ramp. The handover is made to the crew or the agent, and the boxes go straight up the stairs and into the galley.

Aircraft provisioning for large cabins: airport catering at Singapore Changi Airport

Galley catering depends on the aircraft type. A Gulfstream G650 or a Global 7500 takes boxes through the main door and up a short stair, while a larger VIP airliner at Changi needs a high loader to reach the galley door. Airside catering delivery for those is booked ahead with the handling agent, since the equipment shares the apron with everything else. Aircraft provisioning for a wide-body means trolleys, not boxes, and a longer loading window; tell us the type and where the galley door is, and we work out the rest.

About the airportWSSS / SIN

About Singapore Changi Airport: business aviation and airport catering

Singapore Changi is a major international hub with a dedicated general aviation terminal for business jets and private aircraft. Airport catering for that traffic sits alongside a heavy scheduled operation, so slots and access are managed carefully. Business aviation catering here means disciplined arrivals, executive jet catering timed to the slot, FBO services for crew and passengers, and ground handling services coordinated through the handling agent. Diplomatic flight catering for visiting delegations follows the same route, with the protocol cleared first.

Business aviation

Changi works as a business aviation hub for Southeast Asia: operators route through for fuel, crew change and customs, and the traffic follows the regional calendar. The Singapore Airshow and the Formula One night race bring more jets than the apron is used to, and afternoon thunderstorms can push departures back. Night curfews do not apply the way they do at some fields, but slot discipline does.

Customs & food import

Singapore is strict on food imports: meat, poultry and dairy products need permits, and the rules on what crew can bring in are enforced at the terminal. Catering ordered locally is cleared on the airside, so you avoid the problem. Anything loaded elsewhere and carried in goes through the customs rules in force on the day; ask before you assume.

★★★★★LARGE CABIN
“Between cabin checks at SIN, I coordinated roasted vegetable bowls with separate dressings for 12 guests and explained our concerns about a short ground stop. The crew provisions came from The Galley Girls in individual containers, with a packing list that matched the contents. We placed the breakfast portions in their planned storage area without first having to reorganise all the catering boxes. I want a private jet chef to understand crew briefing, and this order gave us a useful starting point.”

★★★★★CREW MEALS
“It was the packing plan I cared about at Singapore Changi Airport, with 9 servings of beef fillet with roasted potatoes and a small galley worktop to consider. The Galley Girls confirmed the handover contact and identified the side dishes, making the catering delivery easier for our team to track. Knowing where the desserts were packed meant the crew could begin the relevant checks as soon as the order arrived. This experience of in flight catering gave us a useful reference for managing storage requirements on another departure.”

★★★★★CHARTER
“Working around a family lunch request at WSSS, I asked for a selection of petits fours and sandwiches in portions appropriate for our 7 passengers. The Galley Girls understood why we wanted the salads readily accessible instead of spread across several different boxes. The cabin service sequence stood out more than any sales pitch about inflight catering services. The main courses were reserved for the next stage, so the worktop stayed clear while we prepared the initial dishes.”

What crews ask before SingaporeAsked by crews
How much does private jet catering cost out of Changi during monsoon months?+

Cost follows what the wet season puts in the market and how long departures slip. A rice dish with a fruit board costs well under a crab-led dinner for eight, and durian in the box costs more than rambutan. Send the guest count and the cabin type and the figure follows from the dishes.

What is the lead time for a return leg ordered from Singapore?+

Ten hours before departure is the target where possible, and last-minute orders are handled. A return leg can be ordered with the outbound trip, so the way back is boxed and held, and the crew sign for it at the next FBO.

Do customs affect catering for a night or early-morning slot at WSSS?+

They do, in a practical way. Singapore controls food imports tightly, and a slot at three in the morning means the boxes must clear airside before the vehicle checkpoint slows. Food ordered locally arrives cleared, so the customs question does not come up at the aircraft door.

Can you bring food from outside on board at Changi?+

You can try, but expect questions at the terminal. Meat, dairy and fresh produce are controlled, and the handling agent decides what moves airside. Catering ordered through us arrives with the paperwork already done.

Is catering part of a charter into Singapore?+

It is not. Catering is a separate order whatever the charter terms say. On an empty repositioning flight the order shrinks to a few crew boxes and water, and we invoice that alone.
